While exploring the Thrive Art District I found Greek Sugar and decided to check them out. The vibrant blue and white decor inside was quite appealing and the cashier was very welcoming. There were various pastries on display which all looked appetizing but in the end I got a Ekmek Kataifi while my companion got a Baklava and a Spanakopita. The Spanakopita was freshly made and very flavorful! I also tried the Baklava which was also good. I found the Ekmek Kataifi to be very sweet though. This spot was a good find and I’ll definitely be back again for the Spanakopita.

Love this please. Have been back so many times for some Greek goodies. Pistachio Baklava is the best!!! Such a cute area too. They have games and music outside. Also, customer service is A1!!! They are so nice

I recently visited Greek Sugar for the first time and was genuinely impressed. It’s a hidden gem with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere—perfect for just chilling, enjoying a coffee, and having some great baked goods. I tried their pistachio baklava and baklava cheesecake (my first time trying it), and both were excellent—rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also had a frappe, a refreshing iced coffee with a light, foamy texture. I paired mine with vanilla ice cream, though chocolate is also available. The owner mentioned they’ve only been open for about 7 weeks, which makes the quality even more impressive. She was very welcoming and took the time to explain the different pastries and what goes into them. All of the baked goods are handmade by her, her father, and a small team, which really adds to the authenticity. If you’ve never tried Greek pastries before, this is a great place to start. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is warm, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portions. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Greek Sugar is such a special little gem here in Thrive Art District (right next to Flagler Village). If you’re looking for a Fort Lauderdale Greek bakery, this is the spot. Just a few minutes from Las Olas and downtown Fort Lauderdale, and super close to I-95 off Sunrise…perfect for grabbing a coffee and something delicious before hitting the road. It’s the brightest, most welcoming Greek cafe and bakery…and Greek Sugar owner Ria is truly the heart of it all. She’s so passionate about her food and culture and genuinely makes you feel like family the second you walk in! 🫶🏻 I’ve been at least 10 times since she opened (probably more 😂) and every single visit has been amazing. The baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee are all so good. The mini spinach pies are INSANE…like, I think about them daily. We recently ordered a big batch of mini spinach pies, feta pies, and cookies for a beach birthday and they were such a hit…everyone was obsessed. If you want something savory, the sandwiches are unreal - perfectly toasted, super filling, and just delicious. And for sweets, I’ve tried the honey nut almond cookies (gluten-free!), kataifi, and baklava…all incredible. Highly recommend stop
